The other day we went for a drive in the mountains. We passed a sign that said 2900 feet. I thought of Mt. Everest, on the other side of the earth, which is 29,000 feet in elevation. We wouldn't be driving there.
Just because it's ten times taller doesn't mean it's better. We don't have a winner and a loser. Each has their own wonderful beauty. The only losers in this story are the eyes that can't see the beauty that's all around us.
